Christine joined Ace after leaving Suffolk County Council Adult and Community Care services where she had worked for 21 years. Christine is a fully qualified registered Social Worker with a current CRB in situ. Her expertise is in Adults particularly in relation to working age adults. Christine spent many years planning and commissioning care services and understands Local Authorities processes.
“I wanted to support ACE in their development of the business and felt that I had a lot to offer from the area of work that I had been undertaking prior to leaving the County council.”
Brij joined Ace in July 2013. Brij is a Chartered Management Accountant and works as a consultant with his experience in finance & governance. His role within the Trustee Board is specifically as an HR Trustee.
“I hope to be able to use my skills and experience to assist Ace, along with the other Trustees, to improve governance and meet the challenge of continuing its work in the face of reducing funding and changing ways of working. This should help to make the organisation even more relevant to both its client groups and its funders in the future.”
Brian Wesley joined Ace as Trustee & Treasurer on retirement from 2009 to 2012 and has recently re-joined the new charity as a Trustee following a short break. Brian worked in the NHS in Suffolk for 22 years and was involved for most of that time in commissioning services for people with learning disabilities, working with Suffolk County Council and service users and carers.
George Amaoko-Atta has experience in both the public and private sectors working for such organisations as Berkshire NHS Trust, Thames Valley Youth Federation, Slough Borough Council, and Windrush Volkswagen Slough among others.
Before joining Ace Anglia as a Treasurer/Trustee, George has recently gained a BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance Degree as well as being Part Qualified Association of Certified Chartered Accountants.
He has also worked with vulnerable people, including people with learning disabilities, working as a support worker. He is well placed to understand the needs of this client group.
