Angela Keighley

Angela Kieghley

27th June 1967 to 6th April 2023

On behalf of the entire team at ACE, we would like to pay a special tribute to Angela.

She was a beautiful, caring soul who made it her life’s work to empower people with a learning disability.  She fought, passionately, for people to have a voice and to express themselves in whichever way they could.

Angela’s mantra in life was:

Training!
It was so important to Angela that professionals and support workers had the correct training to enable them to adequately support people with a learning disability. It is something that should never be forgotten.

Angela had been with ACE for over 30 years.

In that time, she attended many meetings which brought about many positive changes for people with learning disabilities.

Angela was a strong self-advocate on the Suffolk Learning Disability Partnership Board and, over the years, gave health and social care many invaluable ideas about keeping people at the heart of decisions that affected their lives.

Angela was a member of the ACE Advisory Group and used her voice to shape ACE Anglia.

All of us at ACE will miss Angela and the sense of fun that she brought to life.

Her aim in life was to make a difference to the lives of others and we will always be thankful for the positive changes she brought about with her big beautiful, Yorkshire heart.
