Cancer Campaign: Be Seen, Be Screened, Be Supported.

Ace Anglia are co-producing a new Cancer Screening Campaign aimed at increasing awareness and uptake of cancer screening among people with learning disabilities and autistic people.

What are we going to produce?

We will create a variety of paper and digital resources for bowel screening, cervical screen and breast screening.

We are aiming to producing resources such as:
– Talking Text
– Easy Read documents
– Social Stories
– Podcasts
– Interviews

These resources can be used by:
• Individuals with learning disabilities and autism
• Their families
• Carers
• Health professionals
• Support workers
• Personal assistants

This is a 2-year project, funded by Suffolk Community Foundation.

The resources will be shared on the Ace Anglia website, Suffolk Ordinary Lives website, and social media platforms.

This survey is to improve services and to make your cancer screening experience more accessible.

We want to understand what makes it easier or harder for people with learning disabilities and autistic people to go to cancer screening appointments.

Your answers will help us plan and make resources to explain to people how important screening is.

Your experiences and questions matter.

Help shape our cancer screening podcast!

We’re making a podcast series and we’ll be talking to health professionals, family carers, and support workers about:

  • Breast screening
  • Cervical screening
  • Bowel screening

We want to hear from you! This is your chance to share your experiences and ask any questions you have about cancer screening – big or small.

We’ll use some of your questions in the podcast, and health professionals will answer them.
