We recently attended the Annual Networking & Celebration event, networking and cancer conversations: Tackling health inequalities. Hosted by Community Action Suffolk and The Integrated Care Academy.
At this event, we hosted two workshops where we shared information about our annual health check workshops, and how Ace works on projects to tackle Health Inequalities for people with a learning disability and autistic people.
We also spoke about a new project we are working on – Cancer Screening: Be Seen. Be Screened. Be supported.
This work is about supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people to attend their cancer screening appointments. Throughout this project will be producing accessible information such as easy read, videos and social stories over two years and they will be available for people to download and use.
