About me
I am friendly, kind, and approachable.
About my work
I started out in retail over 40 years ago in a Greengrocers as a Saturday assistant, I progressed from this to a management trainee at Harrods in London, and then went on to be deputy manager of Ladieswear Debenhams in Colchester and Dorothy Perkins in Ipswich.
After I had my two children now 26, 28 I decided that retails was not for me and began my career with children, initially as a playleader at my local playschool, then went on to work for the NSPCC and Childline in schools across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex giving assemblies on safeguarding and Children’s rights.
4 years ago I became a children and Young Peoples advocate and at the age of 50 found my Niche! I love being part of the team of advocates at ACE, It is such rewarding work helping children and young people get their voice heard and upholding their rights!
