Recently, we did a workshop with St. Elizabeth Hospice on a pilot project called “No Barriers Here.”
No Barriers Here is a unique and innovative approach to advance care planning for individuals and communities facing barriers in accessing palliative and end-of-life care.
It was originally co-produced with people with learning disabilities in 2019 and uses arts-based methods to support people to think about advance care planning, whilst ensuring the process is inclusive and accessible.
At Ace Anglia, six self-advocates participated in three sessions of this fantastic workshop. Each workshop has a theme and It’s a great way to express how you would like your wishes to be heard, the sessions are calming and relaxing and each self-advocate had a great experience.
